HAN in the publishing house
Advantages of using HAN as a management system directly in the publishing house.
How can I offer my customers simultaneous access to online resources?
If a HAN server is used by the content provider, all access to the online resources is routed via the HAN server. This means that the end user no longer accesses the content provider's system directly, but only the HAN server. The HAN server checks the end user's login and access authorization independently of the publisher's user administration. In addition, the HAN server checks the number of concurrent licenses provided by the content provider (concurrent licenses).
If the user is authorized to access and the corresponding licenses are available, the HAN server forwards the user to the desired online resource. However, if the maximum number of licenses is in use, the user is rejected and receives a corresponding message.
In addition to checking the login and authorization, the HAN server also takes over the complete management of simultaneous access.
